Shakira is a two time Grammy Award winner and eight-time Latin Grammy Award winner. She is a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, record producer, dancer and occasional actress. Shakira has been in the music industry since the mid-1990s. Shakira’s first English speaking album was entitled Laundry Service and sold over fifteen million copies worldwide. Shakira is the highest selling Colombian artist of all time; she has sold around 50 million albums worldwide.

Shakira sings popular hits such as “Don’t Bother”, and “Hips Don’t Lie”. Shakira wrapped up her biggest world tour in spring of 2007. This tour had 111 dates and visited countries such as Europe, America, Africa and Asia. Shakira will be providing three songs for the movie adaptation of the Gabriel Garcia Marquez novel Love in the Time of Cholera, which is due out late 2007.
