AFI Ringtones
AFI, which stands for "A Fire Inside," is a punk rock band that formed in 1991 in Ukiah, California. Davey Hovak (vocals), Mark Stopholese (guitar), and Vic Chalker (bass) formed AFI while still in high school. The band broke up when the members began attending different colleges. However, when reuniting to play a live show the band decided they would all drop of college and play with AFI full time.
The bands first full length album was titled Answer That and Stay Fashionable. It released in 1995 on Wingnut Records. The band then released five records, including a rerelease of their first, on Nitro Records. In 2003 AFI released Sing the Sorrow on Dreamworks Records. The album peaked at number 5 in the US and reached Platinum status. They followed in 2006 with Decemberunderground, which reached #1 in the US.
