Jay-Z Ringtones

Jay-Z, born Shawn Corey Carter on December 4, 1969, is a world famous rapper. He is currently the president and CEO of Def Jam and Roc-A-Fella Records, and has many other successful business ventures. On November 25, 2003, Jay-Z held himself a retirement party. During his retirement Jay-Z continued to do side projects and make concert appearances with artists such as R. Kelly, Phish, and Linkin Park. In 2006 Jay-Z returned from retirement to launch the album Kingdom Come, his highest selling record over a one-week period.

Jay-Z's rivalry with Nas dates back to the mid-90s, but did not escalate until the death of Notorious B.I.G. After Biggie's death both Nas and Jay-Z sought the title of best rapper in New York. The dispute between the two rappers also involved many other associates at Roc-A-Fella. By 2002 the feud had drastically died down with most agreeing that Nas was the winner. However, Jay-Z has gone on to surpass Nas in popularity. The two have since gone on to pay tribute to each other's careers.
