Yung Joc is featured on the song "Show Stopper" by Danity Kane, and Cassie’s song “Call U Out.” There are rumors circulating that Yung Joc is related to the rapper Young Jeezy. These rumors are not true.

Yung Joc released his debut album, New Joc City, in June of 2006. The album reached #3 on the US Billboard 200. It has reached platinum status, selling over 800,000 copies. New Joc City produced several singles. "It's Goin' Down" featured rapper Nitti, and reached #3 on the US Hot 100, as well as #1 on the US R&B Charts.
